Missionary Education and Evangelistic Training Ministry (MEET) was founded by Drs. Thomas and LaVerne Jackson, and is based in Huntingdon, Tennessee. Their mission is to spread the final warning message throughout the world by educating gospel health missionaries and healing people both spiritually and physically, using nature’s remedies. Among other methods, MEET reaches out to people through their lifestyle center, cooking classes, marriage retreats and their training center—the School of Gospel Health Evangelism. Here are a few of the inspiring testimonies from those who have benefited from the mission of MEET Ministries.

Our Home Lifestyle Center

For the past several years I have struggled with several health concerns. My battle with diabetes has been very distressing, and if that were not enough, I was recently diagnosed with yet another condition—cancer. After this diagnosis, I knew I had to do something different in my life.

My wife and I had attended Dr. Jackson’s health lectures at a MEET Ministry campmeeting, and she suggested that I contact the ministry. She reminded me of the eight laws of health and recalled how impressed she had been to learn they could all be found in the Bible. I remember asking myself, “Since God made our bodies, who better to tell us how to take care of them?” So we decided to attend the 18-day lifestyle program.

We were blessed not only physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted and given a delicious, healthy meal. From then on we began fasting, juicing, exercise and other therapies. The process was so simple and the results so profound that I could hardly believe it. At the start, I had been instructed to test my blood sugar levels and take insulin twice a day as I did at home. But, praise to God, my blood sugar levels have been so normal that I have not had to take insulin again since my first night at the lifestyle center!

Through the principles that I learned at MEET—God’s Eight Doctors—and the continued support of their friendly staff, I have experienced a much better quality of life. As I have witnessed the miraculous stabilizing of my blood sugar, how can I expect but that these same tools will strengthen me in my battle against cancer?

Health, Hope and Healing Classes

Health, Hope and Healing Class.

I loved this class, the people who attended, and especially those that taught and guided us. The phone calls helped, too. The cooking classes were so needed. Soon after the classes, I had my yearly physical, and my doctor asked what medication I was taking. I said none, and that I am trying to repair my body by eating healthfully. She seemed to disagree with this plan, but my tests came back better than ever. I told her that diet does work.

These classes have been an inspiration to me, not only physically, but spiritually. I had issues in my life that this program has helped. – anonymous attendee.

MEET Marriage Retreat

MEET Marriage Retreat.

My wife and I loved the marriage retreat. It was more than we expected. We had a great time in true Christian fellowship. Our instructors made us feel very comfortable and at ease. Their biblical and practical life applications were very clear and simple to understand. Words cannot express our gratitude to the instructors. Everyone was invited and welcomed to participate in open discussion. Each well-planned event was an opportunity to learn about God’s high ideal for marriage. We learned that marriage was meant to model our heavenly home and is a covenant with God. When Christ is the center of our marriage, our homes would never be broken. School of Gospel Health Evangelism

The Gospel Medical Missionary Training was an answer to a long-awaited prayer. I had heard health called the “right arm of the gospel,” and I desired to understand how it harmonized with the gospel of Jesus Christ. During this course I really began to see the light, how our physical and spiritual beings are interconnected. Through this training, the Lord has led me step by step to grasp the principles of His plan to restore humanity to His image. Though I have had the opportunity to participate in evangelism at home and abroad, I have discovered that this training was the missing link in my personal ministry for Jesus. I am eternally grateful to God and to the staff at MEET Ministry for how my life has been enriched and blessed. Since then, God has already placed individuals in my path, and I have been sharing His plan for complete restoration in their lives and how we must be ready for Jesus’ soon return. –Mary Pulliam, student.

One of my favorite Bible promises is, “Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3. In 2009, I called unto the Lord, seeking His direction and guidance for the next steps in my life. I consider this course an answer to that prayer. I praise God for MEET Ministry and their commitment to preparing workers to enter the Lord’s vineyard. Medical missionary work is ordained from Heaven above. I can clearly see that it is the work that will uproot the selfishness that lies in my heart. The classes are powerful because they connect the physical with the spiritual. Jesus was truly lifted up as the Great Medical Missionary. Drs. Thomas and Laverne Jackson are wonderful teachers and there was never a dull moment in the classroom—we got those endorphins going very often! This has truly been a life changing experience, and I count it a blessing to have been part of it. By God’s grace, I have begun to incorporate God’s plan in my life. Personally, it has helped tremendously in winning my “battle of the bulge,” and God has created an opportunity through which I can reach my family, friends, co-workers and strangers. I pray that many others will take advantage of the time that God has graciously granted us to become familiar with this work. By His grace we will be able to truly live out the principles found in Isaiah 58 and answer the prayer of Jesus in John 17. – Rochelle, student.
