The Lord is blessing the work in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the needs are many. Here are a few current projects that we are involved in:

Evangelists/Church Planters

There are around fifty brethren laboring in the remote jungles and Savannas of western Congo faithfully seeking to bring the Three Angels’ Message to this unentered area. Their only way of reaching the villages in which they are laboring is by foot, but they are bearing the message despite the hardships. They are sacrificing to share the message of truth, but your help will greatly assist them in their labors. For $60 a month, you can support one of these church planters and bring the light of truth to a dark village. They are doing their part, but they need our help to continue the work!

Church Buildings

Most of the village churches are meeting underneath a tree or a simple palm leaf canopy which solely shields from the sun, but not the rain. A permanent church building makes a major impact on the entire village, giving permanence and stability to the work in addition to a dry place to worship. The believers in these villages meet every day, so a church building will be put to immediate and frequent use. For $2,000, a metal roof can be purchased and transported to the village. Local materials will be used for the structure and walls, but durable metal sheets will prove to be a great help in establishing the church in the village. Would you like to help build a church in one of the many needy villages?

Bibles in the local language of this area of Congo cost around $15-20 US dollars, which is completely out of the reach of most of the villagers who survive by subsistence farming. There are many villages that do not have one Bible in the entire village. This needs to be corrected! Even five or ten Bibles shared among the believers and new contacts makes a powerful impact. Would you like to share the Word of God with those who have never read it before?

The work has grown phenomenally in Congo as a result of the printing of Bible studies and other materials in the local language of the people. This, combined with the faithful efforts of the brethren, has spread the knowledge of truth throughout the corners of this previously unentered area, but there is need for more. We are hoping to soon be able to print portions of Great Controversy in their own language, and more Bible studies are always needed. Would you like to be a part of scattering present truth like the leaves of autumn in this area?
