Dear Friend,

What have your grades been in school recently? No matter what we are doing or where we are or what our age is, we are all still in the greatest of all schools. Our “grades” in this school may not be known by anyone else and sometimes we might not even think about them, but they are being recorded none-the-less. Jesus said, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3. In this great school, our primary object is to learn of our Father and His Son. Are we learning daily of Him? Do the heavenly “grade books” reveal an ever increasing knowledge of our God or is our knowledge confined to lowlands of this earth? “Now, as never before, we need to understand the true science of education. If we fail to understand this, we shall never have a place in the kingdom of God.” Spalding & Magan, 56.

The Lord has been greatly blessing us as we are seeking to both understand and share this true science of education here in Lima, Ohio. A couple months ago, we began planning to hold an intensive, two-week evangelistic effort in this neglected town. Ohio has been hit hard in the economic downturn and many are now searching for something enduring in difficult times. While the weather can be a deterrent in February, we went forward believing that the Lord was going to work. Sure enough, as opening night approached, the Lord held off the foul weather! Our hearts overflowed to the Lord, as on the first night He filled up the room with men and women longing for light from heaven. Praise His name for bringing out those searching for truth! During the first weekend of the meetings, we sought to lay the groundwork for the testing truths that will soon call for a decision.

On our opening night, we covered “Is a Crisis Coming?” looking at what is going on in the world today and how the Bible reveals what we see and an even greater crisis looming in the future. On the second night with the subject of “Is a King Coming?” we focused on the misunderstanding of prophecy today dealing with the concept of a “secret” rapture. In order to grasp the importance of the final prophecies, it is necessary to show the fallacy of this popular doctrine. Then we laid the groundwork for exposing the man of sin and the necessity of obedience to all of God’s Law. The people have continued to come and are looking forward to the unveiling of the mark of the beast, America in prophecy, etc. Tomorrow will be a difficult night, as we seek to show that the world is united in disobedience to God’s Law in breaking His holy Sabbath day. We are praying that the Lord will open hearts and minds to the truths for this time. In addition to sharing with the thirty plus people who are faithfully coming to the meetings, many, who are unable to come to the meetings, have requested the free study materials.

I have been busy delivering the handouts all throughout the town. One man who requested the material indicated that he was a “reverend.” When I delivered the materials, he was so happy to get them. He said that he was going to use the materials to teach in his Sunday school class! In addition to sharing the truth from God’s Word through the spoken word and through the printed page, the Lord also opened up the doors to have a television interview on the local Christian station. It was another miracle that the Lord got us on! We were able to share the importance of prophecy for our time and some practical lessons from the second and third chapters of Daniel in addition to inviting them to the upcoming seminar. The Lord’s truth is indeed marching on, may we keep marching with it!

We request your prayers as we have a hard hitting final weekend covering the Sabbath, the mark of the beast, America in prophecy and then prophecy’s coming climax. The Lord has led us to those searching for something better and we pray that the Lord will continue to lead these precious souls fully into the light of present truth.
