The Water of Life

The water of life is flowing to all the villages and towns of Zambia. The tiny mustard seed of the gospel is moving hearts! Three villages in the Manyinga District of Northwestern Province in Zambia called on Three Angels Child Education Mission to preach and pray for them. They have been suffering from health problems that they believe have their source in spiritualism and witchcraft. Evangelist Moses Muzeya conducted a three-day Bible study and prayer session in the Ngoma, Vilembuluka, and Kabubwenyuna villages. They need a church built because 250 people gave themselves to Christ as a result of the meetings. Additionally, many people in this area have openly declared that they would no longer eat unclean foods.

The hand of God followed the preaching: the sick were healed and demons cast out. This angered the devil, and he sent a thunder and lightning storm. Moses’ family, some 40 kilometers away from the meetings, also were stricken by lightning. But by God’s grace, no life was harmed and only household items were damaged, including the television. After preaching, I got in a car to return home. The car started accelerating on its own while the driver tried to apply the brakes without success. The steering become more and more difficult. The car swayed on the road on its own about four times. But even then, God was there to hold us safe and sound. No damage was sustained by anyone, nor to the car.

Sabbath after Sabbath, people from different backgrounds in surrounding villages come to our house for worship, Bible study, and prayer. Some people walk as far as 20 kilometers (about 12 miles) weekly and daily, morning and evening, for prayers. They come to enjoy the words of hope from the Bible. God is searching for workers, for the harvest is ready. The everlasting gospel of Revelation is on the move. What I witness every day I cannot explain in one story. People are willing to keep the Sabbath and follow Jesus Christ.

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him….” 2 Chronicles 16:9.

“Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3.

Our Master’s business is to do His will and finish His work. We are to divide the inheritance He has promised us. “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3.

Christ is our only hope. As we see the condition of mankind today, the question arises in the minds of some: “Is man by nature totally and wholly depraved? Is he hopeless ruined?” People have told themselves they can do no good thing. But there is always an escape. When man sinned, Christ offered to stand as his substitute and surety in order to provide a way whereby the guilty race might return to loyalty. He took on humanity and passed over the ground where Adam stumbled and fell. Without swerving from His allegiance, He met all the temptations that beset us. Only by accepting Christ as our personal Savior can human beings be uplifted.

“The success of every worker depends on having the mind of Christ. Unquestioning faith in the Father and of the Son is the great safeguard against annoyance and trouble. Those who have this faith realize that the all-sufficient support is ever underneath them. We have not studied and obeyed the words of Christ as we should. Christ likens His words to His flesh and blood. Speaking of this on one occasion, He said, ‘Ye seek me not because of the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves and were filled. Labor not for the meat which perisheth, but for the meat which endureth unto everlastings life, which the Son of Man shall give unto you for Him hath God the Father sealed. Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered unto them, This is work of God that ye believe on Him who he hath sent.’” Spalding and Magan Collection, 272.
