Work Going Forward in Argentina

I wish to send special greetings to each of you from Argentina in South America. As I was praying, my thoughts turned to my beloved church family around the world. My mind was on all the happenings in the secular world today, and I felt sad.  But my heart aches for God’s people because we are not yet ready to meet Jesus. Here in Argentina this is true as I am sure it is true also in many parts of the world. We are very worldly and unconcerned about the times in which we are living. We should all be crying and praying for us as a people. The prayers of each of us in the church should be that Jesus should be formed in each of us. For this to happen we must surrender all to Jesus. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1.

We ask that you pray for us in Argentina. The enemy of souls is busy trying to destroy the family and the youth and is especially attacking the head or priest of the family. The father is to be an example of love and be the spiritual backbone of the home. Much of our ministry is helping families. In these homes there is much sadness. Homes are being split by divorce, incest and all other kinds of abuses. God’s council to these problems is found in John 15:4. “Abide in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” If each family member can learn to “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you,” (James 4:7) the homes would be happy in Jesus. It is our prayer as we work with the people here in Argentina that they can see that having Jesus in their lives would make such a difference. May they see Jesus in us and surrender to Jesus and let Him change them.

For the last five years we have been airing a radio program which shares light and hope with those who are listening. It has been

rewarding to see many families coming to Jesus through listening to the program. Many of these dear people have come from the Evangelical and Catholic churches of the area.  We praise the Lord for these precious souls.

There are many ways we evangelize here in Argentina. A couple of years ago we were sent a forty-foot container of present truth tabloids by Cornerstone Publishing. All of the tabloids have been distributed. We are planning on transforming the empty container into a church building.

Bible studies and health messages are being given from house to house. A few students from Hartland Institute are planning to come to Argentina over the winter break to help with the work.

Recently many people have been asking for Bible studies. These requests are a result of the radio program, public evangelism, door-to-door work and personal prayer. After they have learned the special truths for this time, many go to their pastors and priests and ask, “If these truths are true, why do you teach us to obey man instead of God?”

One of these families is the Telles family, which consists of seven members. The children are all boys. The males of this family all

come from an Evangelical background. They asked me to study the Bible with them, especially the Bible prophecies. For almost a year I visited them in their home and became their friend. Recently I have started studying with them. The dad was able to explain to one of his sons that prophecy in the Bible is God’s leading through the Holy Spirit.  After they had just three Bible studies they were all following the truths they were learning. They are humble, dedicated people, and I long to work with them and share this message with others. The dad has thanked me for studying with them. He also thanks God for allowing his family to learn these wonderful truths in order that they will be prepared for what is coming on this earth. They are seeking to live up to all the light they have received.

In just four Bibles studies, they have accepted the Sabbath and are planning on keeping it. They are also changing their health habits to conform to God’s will for them.

A Missionary Street Team

There are three or four Sabbath study groups meeting in homes in our area. We are having requests for larger areas to meet as the homes are overflowing with people who come to study. They request places large enough that they could meet twice a week. Almost all of these precious souls are the result of the radio program or personal Bible studies. There are those from each of these groups that are preparing for baptism.

Our request is that you remember us in your prayers, and we will be praying for you also. May we all be faithful to God’s word and be sharing with those around us. It is our prayer that we will all meet on the Sea of Glass.
